Reviews

"If ever you needed an argument for violence in videogames, either for or against, congratulations; you've found a winner. MadWorld is what would happen if Frank Miller and Quentin Tarantino ever got together to make a game as sleek, stylish and utterly blood-soaked as possible. Normally, I'm not into games like this, but I have to admit, the creative carnage that the player can get up to and the smoking hot beat-box soundtrack and side-splitting banter between the announcers won me over.

Admittedly, the key storyline can be cleared very quickly, especially if you're not looking to find any unlockables or play any of the malicious mini-games. That being said, rent this one first to see if you just want to burn through it quickly (and to see if you can stomach using a spiked bat to bash enemies through the bull's eye of a gigantic dart board). While its flaws are obvious, MadWorld easily lets you look past them to its strengths, providing a stylish, fun experience for the blood-soaked, chainsaw-wielding maniac in all of us.
