Review
No More Heroes

Pros

• Fun mini-games
• Very stylish graphics
• Over-the-top in almost every sense
• More character growth and development than most games in the genre

Cons

• Camera can get caught up during fight sequences
• Awkward timing for attacks
• Button-mashing comprises most of the action

Bottom Line

Well-crafted, albeit violent, action on the Wii.

Reviews

"Okay, so you've run out of money to buy movies, video games and pro wrestling paraphernalia and you desperately need a job. So what's the obvious solution? Grab the laser sword you won off of an Internet auction and gun for the title of the top assassin in the world! That's what you're doing as Travis Touchdown, the protagonist in No More Heroes.

You might remember Grasshopper Manufacture as the mad scientists behind Killer7. Killer7 was an incredibly well-made game that combined unique gameplay with a brilliant story, excellent graphics and a tight soundtrack. No More Heroes, I'm glad to say, hits all the same notes just as well, if not better, thanks to the advent of the Wii-mote. While the camera can get tangled from time to time and button-mashing comprises the bulk of the action, there's more than enough here to keep any action fan glued to their Wii for a good long while.
