Review
Angels and Demons

Pros

• Lots of race-against-the-clock action
• Fascinating subject matter, even if liberties are taken
• Tom Hanks has a better haircut

Cons

• Movie posits that Tom Hanks is the one lone competent good guy
• Exposition-heavy

Bottom Line

Highly implausible, but it's a good adventure romp.

Reviews

"Like The Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons takes enough factual background and spins it into a pretty watchable adventure yarn. It benefits from some nice action pieces and generally quick pacing, though the middle gets a little bogged down in exposition and investigation. There are a couple of noteworthy characters too, including Ewan McGregor as the Vatican's first action star. Like the books that spawned the movie, Angels and Demons is good digestible fun, just don't think about it too hard."
