Unreal
Editor
One of the great features of Unreal is the built in
editor that allows gamers to make their own maps,
weapons and other modifications to the game.
As a showcase of this feature, Mpath Interactive,
Inc. is sponsoring the
$150 000 Make Something Unreal Contest. For
those of you who think you may have what it takes
to win, or who wish to participate in the judging,
here is a brief rundown. More info can be found at

The Contest
The Make Something Unreal Contest is a skill promotion
conducted in ten separate phases ("Categories") over
a thirty-four week period (April 26 - November 22,
1999), is sponsored by Mpath Interactive, Inc. and
is hosted by Mplayer.com on the www.unrealcontest.com
website, where a description of each Category can
be found. Each Category has its own start and end
dates, its particular judging criteria and its own
prize package. The object of any Category competition
is to create and submit the best skin pack, original
map or game modification based on the existing Unreal
or upcoming Unreal Tournament Game. The Categories
You can enter any or all of the Category competitions,
but submissions must be original, owned by you. Entry
information and a description of each competition

Best Early Bird (You're too late for this one)
Best Skin Pack Best Texture Set Best Deathmatch Map
Best Domination Map Best Assault Map
Best Capture The Flag Map
Best Weapon Pack
Best Partial/Total Game Conversion
Best Overall Winner
Eligibility
The Contest is open to legal residents of the United
States. Void in Puerto Rico, Vermont, Maryland, North
Dakota, Minnesota and where prohibited by law. Employees
of Mpath, 3D FX, Epic Games, GT Interactive, Aureal,
their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising
and promotion agencies and the immediate family members
of each are not eligible to participate.
Community
Judge Drawing
Throughout the contest, random drawings will be held
from among all those who have registered, been accepted,
and, in most cases, have participated (voting on at
least one entry in the Category) as Community Judges.
Based on the following schedule, the following prizes
will be awarded.
