Electronic Arts has announced The Simpsons: Tapped Out, a free-to-play game for the iPhone and iPad. Players will get to rebuild the town of Springfield after it’s destroyed by an accident at the Nuclear Power Plant, and as you may have guessed, the accident was caused by Homer. All the best Simpsons characters will appear to aid you in your mission, and you’ll be able to purchase helpful in-game goodies with real life cash.
For those of you who own an iPhone and an iPad, you’ll be able to sync your game progress between the two devices, and switch back and forth in the middle of a mission.
The Simpsons: Tapped Out will hit the App Store soon, and it will be followed by an Android version. The game marks the latest step in EA’s push to dominate the growing mobile game market. The publisher released The Sims FreePlay on iOS devices in December.
