Gearbox took time out of its busy schedule of developing the highly anticipated Borderlands 2 to reach into its letter bag and answer some questions. When a question inquired about how classes might evolve in the upcoming sequel, game designer Jonathan Hemingway tackled the answer. Hemingway explained that the Gunzerker is an evolution of the Berserker from the first game, where as Brick who used his bare hands to get the job done, the Gunzerker played by Salvador uses two massive guns instead. The Siren class was also highlighted and is now played by Maya mixing old and new abilities. Whereas in the first game Lilith relied on speed and deception, Maya is all about control, and because of this Hemingway claims it will provide a “completely different experience.”
Borderlands 2 is set for release sometime in 2012 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC.
