Nintendo has announced that the Wii U will be released in Japan, North America, Europe and every region across the globe before the end of 2012. The new console is expected to launch during the holiday season, but a firm date has not been revealed.
The Wii U offers a large, motion-sensing controller with a built-in touch screen, and Nintendo hopes to revolutionize the gaming industry to same way it did with the Wii back in 2006.
