The 10th anniversary edition of Grand Theft Auto III will drive onto the App Store and Android Marketplace on December 15th.

It contains all the missions, locations, vehicles and weapons from the original console and PC version, but as a result, it will only run on newer gadgets with more powerful hardware. Click here for a list of compatible devices, and check out the video below.

Similar ports of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and San Andreas are rumoured to be on the way.

Don’t forget that the all-new Grand Theft Auto V is also in development for consoles. It’ll take place in the Southern California-inspired city of Los Santos, and promises to have more open-world freedom and multiplayer than ever before.
